HUGE click loss (9)

HUGE click loss

I am facing a huge click discrepancy between my CPV Lab LP clicks and the clicks going through in my networks and its driving me nuts. Don't want to accuse them of anything before I have ample proof.

There can be four possible reasons for this:

  1. Click Shaving by the networks
  2. CPV Lab Redirection Issue
  3. Server Load Issue
  4. Duplicate Clicks

Want to be sure what it is.

Has someone solved a similar issue in the past? Any help would be really appreciated.

Contacted my network. They sent my click report to cake which in turn reverted by saying the discrepancy is due to duplicate clicks.

30% duplicate clicks? Really?

Someone please enlighten me regarding this. Screwing my happiness.

30% duplicate clicks seems too high..... Click shaving is what I would go with.

just out of curiosity... duplicate clicks are generally in the 3% zone IIRC... what causes duplicates in the first place?

No idea man. I still think there is something wrong. How can there be 40% duplicate clicks!

I am seeing similar Numbers today and thought it was me - Decisive Clicks 105- CPVlab clicks 107 ( 2 desktop i am assuming ad approval ) and NB is showing me - 47 Clicks to offer - Thought it was odd but wasnt for sure my first time testing mobile and Decisive

Could it be CPVlab ?

Some networks show raw clicks, others unique clicks only. The issue could be caused by repeat visitors from placements at the traffic source you using.

My clicks are going off my LP, so its def not a traffic source placement issue.

What traffic source are you using Pra? If the network is using Cake you should be able to pull the click report and look at the total number of clicks (inc. dupes) vs outgoing clicks from your lander. Does the network have geo-redirection on for the offer? Could it be that some of your traffic source clicks are coming from countries you aren't targeting?

It's unlikely that it's a server issue on your end but you could always be crafty and add another step to the process that logs outgoing clicks to a csv file... so you have a secondary log of clicks/IPs/etc.
