How do you find women pics that won't get you in legal troubles ?

We all know that the best converting pics are those amateurish pics of hot young women.
Looking at how many pics we can find I think at least 10% of the female world population took a half-naked selfie..
Do you use this material for your banners / landing pages without hesitation?
How to be worry-free when you spread your banners around the world ?

have no hesitation. from what I heard, its the ad network that generally gets in shit. then they pull the banner

my only worry is getting in legal trouble because the lady I used happened to not be 18+

that scares the shit out of me

I can tell you with 100% certainty that's not the case. Several ad networks (won't drop names since I do a decent amount of business with them), were subpoenaed by Porn Film Studios. I read the subpoena, and they were going after the affiliates information. Not exactly sure what the outcome was, but I did hear that the affiliate that used the banner got sued.

Solution: don't use pictures that are obviously professional, plenty of amateur stuff that's going around, hell half the sluts would be proud of their pictures being slapped up on an ad, if they're uploading porn they probably like their tits being slapped all over the internet

Things that are worth considering or doing:

1) Check any pic you're planning to use with Google Image Search. If it's a pic of a porn star or other public figure, don't use it - they're far more likely to sue. (Also, some traffic sources will disapprove these ads anyway - they have Google Image Search too...)
2) If you want to stay completely legal, stock photography sites are the way to go. You'll also end up with a much wider choice of images, particularly for harder-to-find demographics like older men. Don't be fooled into thinking that stock photography doesn't convert - it can do quite well, and you can always process the image to look more amateur
3) It's also worth looking for Creative Commons licensed images on Flickr and other places. Check the license, but often they'll be legal to use with the right attribution - and you can either add that in tiny letters at the bottom of your lander or put it in the image's metadata in Photoshop.

I've probably used 10,000+ pics over the years w/o permission.

Never got in trouble once. Even if I did, the damage would be small change - the cost of doing business.

Ah the joys of a private forum, I would never say the above in a public post lol.

thought they never were for commercial use?

Using images without permission is up to your discretion, its definitely how the majority of affiliates do it.

Ofcourse you can go another route, but can you find/create images that will get the same CTR as an unlimited stream of internet selfies?

If your read gfy.com you will find there are some big production companies who are getting sick of their content being used on ads. I would stay away from the porn gif's if you want be safe.

@craigm - many Creative Commons images can be used for commercial use. Just depends which CC license they're under - if it includes the letters "NC", that means "No Commercial Use".

The best license for AM is Creative Commons Attribution only.

I remember reading a thread on reddit.com/r/gonewild about the users complaining that affiliates have been stealing pictures and using them for banners.

I don't use /r/gonewild as a source for images, nor will I ever (even though it is a good source) but in my opinion, I will have to admit, the users on gonewild do post a lot getting angry from people stealing the images is a bit silly. although it isn't exactly right that it happens, but it is a massive public forum and it is bound to happen.
