Comprehensive Tracking
Alright, here are my problems:
1. I'm a noob
2. I have a limited amount of time in which to work (I work full time as an accountant)
3. I tend to distraction
I am currently using Prosper202 to track, but it seems lackluster at best, particularly with conversion tracking and actual budget items (CPC/Conversion payout etc); it may be fuller featured and I just don't realize it, but that's my current thought...
Can someone recommend the best system for me to use as far as tracking goes? Ideally I want something that I can see ad CTR so I can split test easier (I've been using the kw= token in Prosper202 to track different ads in each campaign for this with okay results), along with landing page CTRs and ultimately conversions (postback/pixel tracking). I know Prosper has a postback feature, but I'm not having much luck with it, I tried to test a conversion yesterday with no luck.
I also want something that will track my actual costs/payouts.
I know that there are variable tokens (no idea if this is the right term) like %commission% or {clickid} etc that can be appended to tracking URLs that would put all the information into one place/database, I just don't have any idea where to start in terms of which tokens to use.
So basically, if anyone can point me to a better tracking software (I've been looking at Voluum lately because it seems full featured) and maybe explain your tracking setup (ie which tokens you track and how you keep it straight) that would be great.

Im a noob as well, but ive had trouble with Prosper202 so i picked up CPV Lab. It was an investment, but well worth it. Everything is very easy, and your able to really track your campaigns.

Yeah, I'm just not ready to shell out $300 on it...

So you'd rather drop $300 on ads and lose important data that could multiply your income?
Just sayin'

Wasnt me ;-) I was talking about 8 months ago... Yeah, i was pissed, bc i was still learning how to setup postbacks and how to track individual ads.... When i got all happy with 10 conversions and then realized i had no where to go from there, bc i had no data to optimize...

I've got tracking in Prosper, just not sure what subids and tokens I need to include. Right now I have each ad tracked but still have to go back and forth between traffic source and the offer to check costs and profit/commissions from sales, I'd like to be able to see it in one place instead.

rfcapital - Unfortunately that's fairly common for most tracking systems. What traffic source are you using? There are a couple of systems out there that track cost AND profit, but they're source-specific.

That's fairly maddening... After running through a decent bit of tracking on Prosper I wanted to try out
Voluum; I'm trying to track a Peerfly offer right now and
Voluum is tracking clicks well but doesn't capture the postback URL for some reason. I don't understand enough about which tokens to track to know what I've done wrong, but I've clearly screwed something up.

Right now I'm running POF, thinking about trying to branch out because on POF I'm paralyzed during the weekends, which is the most time I have to actually work...

I dont' think CPVLab will give you the info you looking for.
CPVLab is easier to set up lp / offer rotations, but that's all.
I would keep using prosper and use that $300 to buy data.

There is POF Pro, has a 30 day trial. I know nothing about it since I have never used it. Someone just happened to mentioned it to me the other day when they were researching POF. Think it was 30 a month after that.
Edit: Opps nm, misread, you are moving away from POF not moving to it.

Someone correct me on this, other than POFPro and AdultPro (both specifically made for those sources) I don't think CPVlab, Imobitrax, Prosper can get the impressions from the source - it just tracks the clicks through.

@glennstacks - You're correct in that. It's somewhat tricky to get impressions from traffic sources, so most trackers don't.
