Hello guys,
I've got a question regarding landing pages which I got messed up in my mind. From what I researched, there are 2 types of landing pages namely reference landing page & transactional landing page.
The first thing I'm planning to do is to self-host or find a host (Beyond Hosting) for my website (WordPress.org) as my reference landing page which contain relevant information to the product which I'm trying to sell. In addition, this website would have other affiliate programs such as Amazon Affiliates and Adsense.
The next thing that I would do is to create a transactional landing page using WordPress which would appear as a pop-up in my reference landing page which would lead to conversion.
So my questions are:
1. Am I doing/ thinking this right?
2. If I were to advertise in such way, will my Facebook account be banned?
3. Should I find a good host or self host my landing page?
Sorry for the newbie question because I'm a real newbie.
Hey man, I've been doing AM for quite some time and never heard of reference and transactional LPs.
You are overcomplicating this
A landing page is just a bridge page before the user goes to the offer. This is done so you can sell the user to buy / convert on the offer page.
Also you should sign up for a hosting company and host ( upload ) your landing pages there.
Hope this makes sense.
That's not normally the way that we'd structure a campaign's landing pages, certainly not for Facebook ads. You'll be pleased to hear that actually, it's much simpler than that!
In AM terms, a "landing page" is usually a single page, optimised to load very very fast (so not running through Wordpress
), which pre-sells the offer you're pushing. You can see a lot of workable examples of AM landing pages from various verticals here:

You should definitely find a good host for your landing pages: a solid VPS (Virtual Private Server) is what you need in most cases. Beyond Hosting offer some excellent hosting options for that.
Hope that helps! Let me know if you need any more info!
Thanks to everyone for guiding me. I just made 2 landing pages attached in this post. Can anyone advise me on this?

Looks good as a start to test!
One question - are you planning to forward people to an offer from these? If so, there's no point having the form in there unless you're pre-populating the offer form with the info people submit. Otherwise, you'll be better off to replace the form with some bullet point sales points.
LOL okay. I think I got messed up again. So it works like this:
User clicks ad ---> Landing page ---> Offer page
In that case, the form is not needed. I will only need a "CLICK HERE" button at my landing page to reach the offer page. Do I get it right this time?
Sorry for asking newbie questions.
Hello,
If I were to include the form, am I allowed to gather the e-mail & name information for my personal use?
@marqiouz - yes, but make sure you obey all relevant laws about data collection, CAN-SPAM, etc.
