Budget doubled = CTR halved?

Hi all,

I recently doubled the budget (from $5 to $10 per day, not that much...) on one of my campaigns to take advantage of its high CTR. Since I've done this, the CTR has roughly halved. This has happened before across other campaigns; the moment I jack up the bid, the impression quality goes down!

Is this Facebook's algorithm trying to determine whom to show your ad to? What can I do to combat this?

Cmdeal is right, but this gets asked a lot, and the answer is never increase your budget after your campaign has been live awhile, small increments like $10-20 a day on a $100 daily budget generally doesn't mess it up too much, but doubling it will almost always eff up your campaign.

Your best get is to duplicate it in power editor and reupload a new one with a higher budget.

There seems to be a clear correlation between budget and CTR. It doesn't take thousands of dollars to see that correlation.

yeah your spend is way to low. But also on small budgets you tend to get smaller cpcs and highter ctrs. When you go to big budgets it always drops.. So sometimes it might even make sense to have ton of smaller budget camps then 1 big one for that reason.

$5 daily spend isn't nearly enough data to make a conclusion. Especially considering day of week, day parting, etc
