Emails going to spam (12)

Emails going to spam

These are users who have either opted into my email list or have purchased my product. Most of my emails are going to their spam folder. How can I fix this? Simple email 5-6 times a day and hope that 1-2 emails go through or use certain words that the spam filters let pass through, etc?

What are you using? Aweber, mailchimp?

Well, probably making it less spammy would be a start.

From your experience, would you say there are certain words to use/avoid in your email to avoid the spam filters?

Why are you sending 5-6 times a day? That's asking them to report you or mark your emails as spam.

The most we do with our email campaigns is once every 2 weeks ....

I follow the top guys in my industry and that's what they do. They make millions so obviously it works.

Emailing anyone 5-6 times a day is insane. Even everyday is insane unless it's a fresh content email.

Sorry guys, I was confused. I was on the email lists, but it was for different products. They only send out like 1 email per product per day. So it seemed like much more. Whoops

you can email 2x-3x per day if you make it mostly content

for aweber, here's how you can knock your spam complaints to almost ZERO

FYI: This would probably work no matter the email service you use, but I had my aweber account shut down from spam complaints (even though they were BUYER lists mostly) -- it's because a lot of your subscribers think "Spam" is the same button as "delete" or "unsubscribe". Your average BUYER (older, baby boomer most likely, etc) is very un technical ...

Here's what to do:

at the top of every message put:

============
You're receiving this message because you signed up a domain.com. Below you'll find XYZ.
============

SPAM | UNSUBSCRIBE
Then for "spam" and "unsubscribe" go into your aweber account and find the hot link or whatever that makes it easy for people to unsubscribe. Link both the 'spam' and 'unsubscribe' button to your unsubscribe link

What will happen is:

1. people see those links first so
2. if they want to unsubscribe they will click one of YOUR links and unsubscribe NOT the spam button in their email client
3. then your spam complaints will practically vanish and you will be scrubbing your list of anyone that won't stick around to listen to you and later buy

Basically the people that stay on will become loyal to you, like you and want to hear from you.
