Been at the TheVault since 2006.
One of the largest original torrent sites online for IM material and very well organized. However, it's gotten bigger over time resulting in more hierarchy on who gets the exclusive downloads.
Probably for good security reasons though as the non-exclusive torrents get downloaded/leaked by users onto other sites. In a week you could see stuff on BHW or obscure sites, etc. New users, as a result don't get a lot of the exclusive downloads unless you've been there for awhile or have contributed enough for promotion via vouches from other VIP+.
Nonetheless, I recommend it to others although I'm biased.
I could be wrong but its my understanding that you don't need invests to get in - there's a pretty straightforward reg process which involves some questions and an IRC. Granted I haven't given it a shot yet but as long as the IRC is active you should be able to get in with a bit of smarts.
Yes - you just follow the instructions on their page to get in and then absolve an application process through their IRC. Coincidentally I absolved it yesterday, however it does help to know a member inside that can vouch for you.
BTW: interesting how they have topic on their forum about STM, and on the other side we have topic about them :-)
I waited on the IRC channel for a whole week (srs) - had the IRC thing going on my phone when away. Finally got a hold of somebody and got in. It was worth it.
I'm on the vault too...any recs of content to check out besides standard copywriting stuff?
