Hi all!

Is anyone actually making good money in a legit way on Facebook? Most stuff I see is around cloaking (adult) dating and how to get more accounts.

Does following the rules even work on Facebook?

It definitely does, but it's harder. I haven't done a blackhat/illegitimate/whatever kind of ad in >5 years and have done very well for myself.

You just have to think a lot differently to make money with "legit" ads -- dirty ads are quick money, but you're always running and changing and modifying things to get around issues, it's like cat and mouse. Clean ads tend to take a little more organization and an actual "business-like" approach to longevity, but with that you get peace of mind. Both can make you huge amounts of money, it's just up to you to decide how you want to approach your career.

Yes, it is possible to do quite well on Facebook, Google, Display, Email, etc. while doing 100% white hat, consumer friendly activities.

Several I know personally are doing over $US 1 million a month. However, their mentality and the way they approach business is very different than 99% of affiliates. They have full time compliance teams; they think about building long term, sustainable businesses than just getting rich quick; they have Google and Facebook over to their offices regularly; they get access to the latest beta advertising programs from such players, etc.
