I know this can be solved by testing a whole lot, but I'm wondering if anyone has any person experience/insight that might save me some time and money. My question is how often do you find that you need different landers for different placements on one traffic source and in one country. So let's say I'm doing PornHub, YouPorn, and RedTube in Germany, do you ever notice big differences in landing page results depending on what site it's on?
Any insight would be appreciated!
From my experience a page that works well generally does so for most of placements.
The only time a page would do better just on one site if it's created around that site.
I'd agree. The best LPs generally stay the best LPs until they're saturated.
That's not to say you should use the same LP for every placement though.
If you're advertising in the footer, you have to be more abrasive and disruptive to get a high CTR. This can sometimes involve using creatives, like chat windows, that work best with their own special kind of landing page.
Then you also have the video overlay placements. If you use creatives with video play buttons and certain types of CTAs, you would want to make sure your LP is adapted to have a video element (even if it's just turning your standard image in to an animated GIF).
