I don't know how many of you have seen the Tedx talk "The great porn experiment" by Gary Wilson (If not you can view it here).

Basically, with porn, as with drugs and alcohol, “too much” varies from user to user. Nonetheless, adopting an evolutionary perspective, we can safely say that the human brain is especially vulnerable to the extraordinary stimulation of today’s porn. Meaning you can never get enough of it, and your addiction feeds off more and more stimulated material that will meet no end, think about all the crazy niches of porn that exist out there.

Anyway, I noticed it has a direct correlation with the affiliate marketing side of things, 4-5 years ago or more (I can't speak for any longer then that) the ads we ran used to be a lot more subtle compared to what they are today.

The images back then used to be a lot more branded towards the hookup sites and generally much more tamed, some big breasts at the max. Nowadays, the banners are simply getting out of control, and just like the study... things can only get progressively worse lol!

You need only check the ad spy to see magic unfolding daily. Just search by Latest creatives then go to the last page. Some of the ads that appear for 1 or 2 days and then disappear never to be seen again are the most priceless. A true window in to the warped male mind...
