How to build an email list with CPA offers? Do you do it at all?

I've heard many times "The money is in the list" so I'd better start building one.

I've just signed up for trial of AWeber. I understand that email list can be very valuable for CPS offers because I can offer people something similar to what they are interested in. However, is it worth for CPA offers as well? I mean payout is usually just few bucks, if people must fill out a form on my landing page and then again on a offer page it would annoy them, if people fill out some CPA offer they don't want any other offer... It seems that it has more cons then pros Or am I wrong? What's your experience?

Sorry for lame question. I've been more into CPS now I'm trying to understand CPA but without much success yet.

Email submits are a big industry its cause they are monitised with cpa offers after the email submit as well as via mailing.

So yes cpa can work with email lists, but the approach is probably different then with a CPS product.

The usual approach for CPS is one of:

give a bit of value > optin form to receive a special report/video > mail sequence > product pitch

With regards to CPA there are two approach that work:

1) prepop

You have your lander where people enter their email when they submit you redirect them to a CPA offer and prepopulate the email field with their details. Most CPA offers dont allow this but it is a technique you can use

2) offer path

If you ever completed an email submit yourself you will have seen what this is.

Lander to capture email > Offer wall (multiple CPA offers on single page on in sequence) > Optin confirmation > Email sequence with further CPA offers

quick question here --> what is an offer wall? the thank you page is a page with lots of offers and banners?

yeah an offer wall is a page with 3,4 5 maybe even 10 offers and they have to complete an offer before they can proceed to the next step.

and how to gather e-mail list efficiently ? I just can't belive it that guys who are sending thousands e-mails daily made it via PPC.

I am about to get into e-mail marketing in my country soon and I would like to know what do you guys do to gather emails ?

You can buy lists, or build them yourself. I would suggest building your own - and you can definitely build massive lists using just about any traffic source. Gather the data that you want and then redirect them to the offer you wanted to show them. Or create an offer wall with multiple offers. There's other steps you could put in there such as coreg as well - it depends on what your goal is with the list. Test different conversion paths - but make sure you lay out your path before you send any traffic.

I've made 4 figures a day with email marketing a couple of times.

But it didn't last for long; probably because I kept hitting my list with CB offers
