Hey guys!
So as I keep doing the research around the AM beast, the one thing I don't really understand is what affiliate network/managers genuinely expect from those of us just beginning. It's great to be accepted into a few places (everyone's been great and friendly!), but is there an understanding on behalf of the networks of what is realistically achievable from a rookie? I imagine once you start filling the pipe, there'd be more expectation to stretch a bit?
Cheers!
I can speak only to what we look for
1. Serious about the business
2. Focused on one vertical
3. Focused on one traffic source
4. Responsiveness
5. Team work
6. Specific goals set with time frames attached
Those are the basics. Skills can be acquired, attitude can not.
Hey mate, thanks for the reply. That's the feeling I got when I was talking with an A4D consultant today who was more than accommodating and helpful for questions I had. It's good to have those kinds of ethics instilled and it's great to know that there's a team on the other end ready to lend a hand.
