I usually don't get a lot of traffic for this ad group because of its tight targetting. Today I got 3K clicks, from many different carriers and mobile OS. Strange thing: I edited the URL and the clicks were still coming even if the ad group status became "Pending Review".
Only pausing it stopped the random traffic. Basically I wasted more than $150
Did it ever happened to you ?
What would you do in this case ?

What does your account manager say?

This happens a lot and to be honest, 3000 clicks is not that bad. I've had MUCH worse.
Its most likely from a fraudulent publisher using proxies/bots.
Look at your IP reports and sent your AM the reports by country and by IP.

I guess you increased your bids for that particular ad group and got your ads exposed to new publishers. Were those clicks coming from one pub only? If yes, ask your Account Manager block it completely. Also, check in your inmobi reporting the number of clicks they have billed you for. You might have been billed much less than $150 for that random traffic.

Had the same issue with inMobi and from my experience they don't give a f*** even if you send them screenshots and whatever

They have so many affiliate advertisers that they indeed don't care and don't bother with refunds(especially for brokered inventory). If you come and waste a few hundreds or thousands with them and quit, there will always be others. "One will, one won't, so what? Next!" That's the attitude. Unless you show them that you are ready to be spending $1000+ on a daily basis and you are a valuable advertiser. But that's a common issue across all networks and inMobi is one of the best.

yeah, seems like it was from bot clicks.
Bot clicks are growing in mobile for last time.
Can get a refund from network with providing appropriate report

They'll fund your account for bad clicks, just tell them and have some proof.

I had similar issues in the past. Just talk to your account manager and send them the proof.
They refunded $500 to me in the end.

They are a decent network if you take the time and explain to your rep there.
I've had balance refunded a couple days there.
