Hi all,
Sorry I'm peppering this board with questions. I just think that all the expertise and experience here is awesome and inspiring
Anyways, to the point:
I'm running a few FB ads now and with the limited data that I have, I am getting a CTR of about 0.065% for my top performing images. Is this a decent number for a demographic of 3 million? What should I be aiming for?
IMO anything less than .1 sucks.. you will get bad placement and higher CPC.. leading to higher CPA
If you are making money though then it doesn't matter
i always aim for around 3% ctr/
3%? Any tips to share? Do you go for one ad per campaign and test that way?
Sure I understand the split testing methodology and am already happily applying it with 10 images spread across 10 campaigns. It's too early to call a winner, but I expect I can start pruning in a day or two. But 3%? Wow, that's crazy for a right side ad. I'm sure there's some luck involved in finding the exact right image or do you have a really small demographic?
I'd recommend aiming for a minimum of between 0.1% CTR and 0.2% CTR, but it's very dependent on demographic.
I shoot for 0.2-0.3, I generally pause anything under .08 (most of my profitable campaigns tend to flatten out around 0.1xxx though).
Sometimes if I'm doing Ocpm the CPM cost is low enough ($.10-.08) that I keep it going at .07 ctr and see how it backs out.
