My job was outsourced back in March - I doubled my income straight away
So I moved countries, picked up an SEO job and after 1 year of working there they outsourced my job to the Philippines.
Gutted, it messed up everything. My visa application, my income.. everything. I panicked and starting looking for another job straight away only to be turned down for even supermarket work. Confidence gone.
In between stress and applying for jobs I started doing some affiliate marketing.. BOOM!
This is the best graph to show my growth, I also collected payments from other affiliate programs on top of this income as well..
Within a few weeks I had created myself a little business, within a couple of months I was doubling the wage from my previous job - some months 3x - 4x..
It's pretty amazing what you can do when you have to do it.. I'm happy to say that I'm now self employed and no longer travel 2 hours on a bus every day to get to a job
I have a long way to go still which is why I'm here but lessons learnt:
- Take action
- Take further action
- With every down there's an up.

Congrats bro.. with every setback, there is a golden opportunity to capitalize on if you only take the time to look for it.
These words are golden:
1)Take action
2)Take further action
*Set the above steps 1& 2 on auto loop

Congrats man, great job!
That shows what a change motivation can do.
Now please, triple those numbers again and post a success story here

Nice to hear a positive story coming out from a terrible situation.
Remember though, it is not revenue that matters, it is profit. If there is one chart that you need to be focusing on is not revenue, not even ROI, but rather profit.

This is profit.. I'm sitting on top of Google just letting it run, only hosting expense is counted.

Yeah man I'm from Wellington! But last year I moved to Amsterdam. Christchurch is a chill place, definitely a lot of opportunity there now.
Welcome!

Well done!
Yup, took 2 hours to write it.. after a good series of commissions I haggled an increase which they said yes to. Been sitting in the top 3 ever since.

Could not agree more mate. I've been on "sick leave" for the past year, working on my affiliate marketing... and it was so laid back I didn't give a shit. Best I did was making 2-3k a month, relying on clients that I really did not want to support, so that was pretty up and down. I also never really focused and drilled down on one strategy, huge mistake.
BUT!
This week I got a new job that I absolutely hate (SEO firm - Gotta pay the bills and make the wife and kid happy, right?), endure a 2 hours commute every day and .... I am so friggin' happy because I am motivated as FUCK to get out of there now.
