Today our boy Viperchill posted an interview about us. It's the first time I've seen an interview, about Stackman and BBrock. Rather fascinating read if I do say so myself!

Very inspiring post indeed.
You mentioned:
Readiness to fail. I fail 90% of the time with my affiliate campaigns. I enjoy failing, I learn a lot from it. You will fail the vast majority of the time. You have to be mentality tough to roll through it. But just like venture capitalists you just need that 10% to work to make it extremely worthwhile.”
How can I developed this mindset to fail(and learn from it) while I keep spending on campaigns. I always feel afraid of letting my money go.
You guys are fuckin awesome. This interview got me so amped right before the gym lol...and I can't wait to launch more campaigns after.
Really great interview, guys - well done. Interesting, thorough, and honest.
@melcube - One technique that works for me when testing new traffic sources is to make it my goal to spend however much I think is a realistic budget. Rather than focusing on an outcome I can't control (successful campaigns), my aim is to spend that money in a reasonably intelligent, well-structured way - and if I succeed in doing that, I've achieved my goal, even if I end up with revenue of $0.
Finch talked about this on his blog a while ago, too, suggesting you set the money aside as an "R&D budget". Different approach but equally good.
@melcube
I think it helps if you really think about what failure is and the benefit it gives you. Failure is only a word that means you have produced some other result instead of your original goal. This result is something that will help you get to your original goal.
Failure is the fastest track to success. You will fail 100% of the time if you don't make any attempts. It goes with anything in life.
Also look at what your worst case scenarios are. If you lose money on your campaign, is your life over? If you generate profit on your campaign, what position does that get you in?
@caurmen
I'll definitely do some budget planning and start spending in small amounts.
@mr green
Thanks for the shift in mindset
"What lies ahead for each of you personally?
Lorenzo “Developing my competitive advantages and affiliate business by building a larger team."
What positions are open?
Time for me to look for a job.
Hats off to all three of you, inspiring and motivational as fuck
I can only hope to meet/work together, it would be a privilege.
Paul
haha @godspeed where are you based?
Love it!!!
@stackman you forgot to add the waterslide part for teh lolz!
This is one of the only times I've written a blog post and didn't have to deal with a dozen trolls in the comments.
Only two this time
Thanks again for your time, guys!
Hey Viperchill, I remember you from a Pat Flynn podcast way back. Glad you found your way to the STM community. Thanks for the great post!
Great interview!!
Would love to see more
STM is getting better and better with an all-star Mod mix!
btw mr green.. did you ever get your 35k back?
Inspiring...
I'm getting back in the game...was doing pretty well with ringtones and dating email submits several years back...
Haha I'm sure he's still alive and kicking. But I'm at a stage now that chasing him down would just be for the fun of it. My time and effort is better spent doing more constructive things.
Last I knew he was in San Diego. Maybe we should host an STM meet up there. Impromptu party at Allan's house?
^^ It gave me motivation like no other mate. The next year my income went through the roof.
I had a similar thing happen as Mr. Green but was in my other game.... Real estate. Back then we were flipping houses. I didnt know shit and my boy was busting his ass to learn. Anyway i had the credit and a bit of cash. I also knew some mortgage brokers to get the deals done. He would find and negotiate the deals and i would help put together the financing. Long story short...we were able to stack up a good 100k in about 8 mths. He was married with kids and was always stressed. Also was terrible at managing his money... Anyway this dude lost his fucking mind! He decided it was ok for him to take the money out of the business account... left me about 10k. Nice guy! Then he disappeared for like a year. His wife and kids hadn't heard from him. Nothing. Brilliant dude and we could have made a shit load together. Still to this day i have no idea why he did it. I did find him however about a year later in tx.....He started a fucking copy cat jerry garcia band.... apparently used the money to finance the equipment for the band and expenses. Needless to say he is just another failed musician working in shitty bars to pay the bills. I could have had some of my boys go pay him a visit after i found him. I couldn't though because i learned more that year then i ever could have with him. I did make a call to his manager and told him i was a friend and to say hello. Would have loved to see the look on his face. We had clients stuck in deals....mainly friends and family....It was a fucking mess. It took me all year to get shit straight. I have way to much integrity to leave anyone in the cold. So i fixed the whole mess and turned it all around.... Learned a shit load of what not to do, lol. That actually catapulted my career and really put me on the fast track to success. I could do it all on my own after that experience. See you can sit and cry about this shit or turn it into something productive. Now i just laugh about this dude playing his piece of shit guitar in some gutter bar in tx. I should send him a thank you card! Lol Learn from your mistakes and failures other wise its just wasted time fellas! Every successful entrepreneur i know has failed way more than he succeeded.
Except for the obvious advice we can all extract from the interview, it was a really nice way to find out more about you guys (for those of us who are new). It also makes the affiliate industry feel more human and tangible, which is very powerful stuff for a newbie.
The interview got me here!
I'm not the only that thinks 'Stackman, Brock & Green' could also be a great law firm name, am I?
Good interview. Got me here as well, an eye opener for me.
Had a similar Story..I was making about 1000/day with Epic Media promoting ads on FB, I took funding from my friend and invested it to pay FB dues !! BAMM Epic gone down along with the money !!..Still paying my friend as i try keeping up my bills, campaigns and tution fees..not a huge amount as you Mr.Green, but big enough for another student to pay
