How to emulate different mobiles for free

Hello,

I found this emulator from Google quite useful and it is even free

https://developers.google.com/chrome...bile-emulation

You just have to install a new version of chrome called Chrome Canary and use its dev tools. I now have two versions of chrome installed with no problem at all.

Hope that helps

I have not tried browserstack to be able to tell you, but most of the LPs I check around the web with Chrome's mobile emulation look correct.

Are you doing some fancy stuff? Have you tried checking the LP with your own mobile and comparing with the tools?

Browserstack, as I understand it, is doing rather more sophisticated emulation than Chrome or similar things. I don't know the details but I do know that Browserstack is more often 100% accurate than any other emulation option I've tried.

My usual approach is to do quick-and-dirty tests using Chrome, but if I really want to get something 100% right, I use Browserstack.

The chrome emulation is also really nice to snoop on mobile ads. Just pop that puppy into an android or iphone and go crazy. I found it to be really handy for that. I did notice the iphone discrepancies as well though.

Could you show a page with these discrepancies? Or is it one of your LPs?

I was playing around with it yesterday on my site/LP's, but it seems to be working now . How about that! Kinda strange. The resolution was messed up yesterday though. I'm not sure what changed.

I 've tried these two emulators, but neither have iPhone5 right. Which is very annoying. For the other screens & phones it works great.

What i do is make a simple php file with various sizes of iframes in, so you edit your lander, click refresh, bam, see what it instantly looks like in a dozen or more resolutions simple-isms.

What I like about Chrome's emulator is that you can quickly check portrait & landscape to optimize your Mobile LP for both. It's a single button click

I guess you mean enabling this for Landscape:

Emulation > Screen > CSS Media > Print
