Landing Page Review - Please Critique!

Hi,

I created this general landing page for my website; I haven't played any "angles" yet, like targeting specific shopping niches (e.g. auto parts, apparel, electronics, etc.) that international customers can purchase from.

http://www.parcelbound.com/landing/

However, could I just use this as a basic template and then just change up the text and add specific images like "auto parts" images when promoting an auto parts angle?

Also, any other feedback regarding the layout / design will be very helpful.

Thank you!

Hi
I suggest the following:

- The benefit "Get your USA shipping address" must be the biggest thing on that page, not the "Join Parcelbound now"
- The layout is a little confusing, take a look to one of your competitors' page http://www.viabox.com/

Ok, thanks for the feedback!

After constantly looking at this landing page to me it looks alright, but its nice to get some outside perspective of what other people think.

I'll definitely apply these suggestions and upload a new updated landing page.

Do you think it is necessary to create different landing pages for specific angles I'm trying to target? For example; girls interested in shoes, so I should build a landing page around shoes? I guess the more specific the landing page to the banner ad the better?

Thanks again!

You need to match your landing page the the ad. Best practice is to have about 200+ different landing pages.

Ok, thank you! I guess I need to start working on adding a bunch of different landing page designs...haha!

Is there any software or web-based platform that is good to use to easily create professional appealing landing pages?

Thank you!

Agree with everything said above. Just a couple of other points:

Make your logo smaller and move everything else up. It would be good to see the store logo's for trust; I have to scroll down to see then (15" laptop).
For your sign up box, the button text needs to be stronger and the button itself clearer and more prominent.
Slow down the testimonials, I can't read them.

Ok, thank you...definitely makes sense, I didn't take into account different screen sizes that visitors would be using.

Cool idea btw, I'm in the UK and I balk at the prices here compared to the US. Tiffany is a good example. I may well be using you in the future

Thank you, I appreciate it! We are constantly adding new features to the website to make it a better experience for our customers. Some new features just added or will be added are discount coupons, lower international rates, affiliate program, more shipping carrier choices, iphone/droid apps, etc. So I'm excited to get these features "live" on the site to make the site even better for international customers!

Hi,

I updated my landing page to the attached design; please let me know what you think compared to the original landing page I posted.

I think this one will do a lot better in terms of conversions with the affiliates/publishers I'm working with.

NEW LANDING PAGE:

OLD LANDING PAGE:

Thank you!

One thing that immediately springs to my attention is that you've got a lot more fields to fill in on the new LPs - do you need all those fields? You're likely to lose conversions with every additional form field you ask people to fill in.

The eye-catching arrow works, though, and you've got a reasonably clear benefit explanation in the header and subhead!

Hi,

Thank you for the feedback!

Yes to open a new account I would like to include those fields because I work coupons around birthdays, gender (women's shoes, men's boots, etc.), and country location. I know asking for this additional information makes the new account form longer, but it is very helpful to me in allowing me to tailor my email campaigns and coupons better.

I agree with you that the 1st "new account" form with more fields might get less conversions, but I'm guessing the conversions I do get off of this longer form would be higher quality if the user is willing to submit this form for a "new account" and fill out all the fields.

This is also the reason I added the 2nd "newsletter" short form below the "new account" long form this way if the user didn't want to fill out all those fields on the "new account" long form then can just submit the 2nd "newsletter" short form (name, email address) just to join the "newsletter" list.

I wanted to incorporate both type of forms this way I could give the user 2 options in converting on the landing page; so they have the option to fill out the long form for a "new account" or the short form to just join the "newsletter" list.

Thank you!

Yes, good point...I was thinking to change the color of the "GET STARTED!" button to something else that would pop out more.

Are there any sections on the new LP where I should have used more contrast on?

Thank you!

The whole point of a landing page is for the consumer to fill out the form. Everything else is secondary.

The mistake many people make is to try to emphasise everything on the page, and thereby they distract the consumer.

Try to ruthlessly pare the landing page and the colours down to the bare essentials and make good use of white space, so that the consumer's eye gravitates to the form.
