Im looking for a project. I would like to find a site that was once very valuable, but lost virtually all SEO related revenue. I want to work to get it ranked again. The harder the better, but I would like it to be a site that had value.

I do not want anything in return, I just want a new SEO project to work on. Plus if it works and some one has a bankroll, we can buy Google hammered sites and rerank them for some good profits.

About me: I have been doing Enterprise level SEO for ~8 years, including working as the Organic Search Strategist at Blueglass. I lead with the technical side for Panda and proper Pagerank flow, then work on content strategies to get quality incoming links.

I also speak at conferences, including Shop.org, and just last week this one (Outdoor Retailer).

Just go to any SMX conference, and you will find no shortage of people up in arms about how unfair Google is, and how they themselves did nothing wrong, and how their site went from $1 million a year to nothing, etc. etc. If you hand out a shingle there, it will be like attracting bees with honey.

I deal with those all the time and get them results. I am looking for some thing that was ranked purely by spam. I do forensic SEO so I am usually called in after penalties or after replatforming mistakes and things like that. Im looking for the ultimate challenge.

I have a lot of PMs. I am going through a winter storm (first time it has snowed here since 1997), so I will get to those PMs when I have to stop conserving the battery on my laptop. Power keeps going out.

I tried everything to save a "watch movies online" website but nothing worked after changes in G. algos so I just stopped trying becase effort was too much compared to the $2K / month.
Also I think It got penalized after 2 months of success because It promoted a rebill offer.. Basically it's an impossible challenge to bring it back from the 200th page.

I had a site which was doing about $10k - $15k a month in profit.

We did all kinds of SEO, some spammy spun content stuff, some really good high quality stuff, some extremely expensive quality links.

And everything inbetween.

We had number #1 rankings for some of the most competitive product names on CB. Infact we outranked the vendor sites..

Google now hates it, we are on page 1 zillion.

If you can get it back...

I would be amazed but more than happy to cut you in.

I lost interest in SEO and moved elsewhere.

Ditto... we did mid XX,XXX / month from rankings with our site in an insurance niche... Totally legit product/service, and some decent quality content - but a fair few spammy links.

I had a site in the International Dating Niche making $xx,xxx.xx a month - was ranked in the top 3 for just about every Mail Order Bride keyword out there - got hammered by Panda 2 weeks after I packed up and moved to the Philippines - got some traffic back via an SEO campaign - then got hammered even harder by Penguin 2.0. Now making about 1/4th what I was 2 year ago.

I also have a manual penalty for "some links to site" - tried 2 reconsideration requests - turned down 2 times. I would just write the site off completely but it is the only thing keeping me afloat out here in The Philippines at the moment. Hopefully my shiny new membership to STM will sever my reliance on SEO for good!
