Alright, I just need to vent a little....
I have a nice little campaign going on LeadBolt currently. I'm right at break even and things are about to get rolling. The offer is in France, and I am having SOOO many issues with ads getting approved. The ads themselves are fine, but the links are all screwed up according to them - even if I add ads to an existing campaign that is currently converting. The links work. They are working like a charm, but about 50% of my ads get kicked back because of the "supposed broken links". It's driving me nuts. I can't get ahold of my manager or anyone that can give me a straight answer.
They just send their ad approval down to the Philippines (That's the only other country on my tracking besides France) and have them check away not knowing what to do... I'm getting really annoying with the lack of response, unfortunatelyI'm liking the progress, yet slow, on my campaign. This is also my first LeadBolt campaign.
le sigh...
*COUGH* cloaking *COUGH*
Are they retro disapprovals? If not just send them somewhere else, get it approved and switch.
if retro send approval traffic to the approval offer.
They aren't retro dissapprovals. The offer is for a very innocent game app. Nothing that would require cloaking. For whatever reason, they get redirected to a generic site because (I'm assuming) they don't use a French IP address similar to how I would see the offer if I went to it from the US. This isn't an issue with all of my ads though. Just about 50% of them. So I figure it's several individuals that are the cause. That's what's really driving me nuts. Half of my ads are approved and half are shot down within the same campaign with the same link. Anyways, I have the screenshots of the offer working, so I can send them that way once they are submitted.
I could pause the campaigns, swap the offer, and add the ads. I didn't think about that before. That could be a good work around if this persists.
Thanks for the tips!
Are they disapproving straight away? Every time I submit a carrier-bound/geo-bound landing page, they send me this email and I reply with a screenshot and ads get approved:
"Reason: This Ad has been temporarily placed on hold pending screenshot verification of URL landing page.
Message: This URL was inaccessible at the time of inspection. Please reply with a screenshot of the landing page for review."
Check that their support email isn't going in your spam filter. It seems like an automated email to me, because the wording is always the same, so I would assume that everyone should get them.
@Matt - That's the same email I'm getting. Though it takes quite a while to reach me. probably 4-5 hours.
@dynamicsoul - maybe I'll need to look into it. I haven't clocked before, and was trying to avoid it. If it saves me from waiting 4-5 hours though, it sounds like a decent approach.
If it's not retro, just do a good ol fashioned bait and switch!
Record their IP and send always to the lander url ( cloak basically ).
Thanks for the tips guys. I'll give them a whirl and see what happens!
Hey guys,
Sorry to reignite this thread a little, but I'm having the same issue getting some AV text ads through Leadbolt... I've been careful with my wording as to not insinuate a definitive 'virus' as such.
Regarding bait and switch, is this still the case as to how people are getting them through? They disapporived all 10 text ads - I am a new advertiser for them and my ad budget I injected in there was much to be desired whilst I test offers there, but it's my first 'proper' mobile campaign and I need to get cracking to catch up with those in my Skype mastermind group
Any advice would be ace!
