Hey, new to the forum but not to affiliate marketing.
Anyone familiar with device targeting on the google display network? I'm trying to target desktop only (no mobile or tablet) for a toolbar offer but the best I can do is set mobile to -100% bid adjustment (essentially getting rid of mobile traffic) and just losing out on tablet traffic. I've chatted to a couple of different adwords reps but haven't got any further with eliminating tablets, anyone know a way around this?
Just redirect tablet user agents to a different LP/ offer that converts for them. Your competitors have the same restrictions so anything you do to increase ROI gives you a leg up!
Thanks for the advice. Another work around I've found is to switch from CPC bidding to CPA. I've been told by my account rep that after enough conversions google will work out that tablets deliver no conversions and stop advertising on them.
