I'm not too experience with adwords. But in your tracking can you see the IPs and click logs? If so I would send those over to your adwords rep.

Also take advantage of this https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/2456098?hl=en

Dude block the infringing blocks, and report to your rep, they could help you stop it as we'll give you a refund.

You can block at the site level....should be easy to spot in your tracker....as long as your passing placement data

you will get a credit back for it in a month or so

Can't block at site level because it's Search, not Display/Content. He's getting a 7% CTR (pre-fraud), which has ballooned up to 30% and higher now.

OP, check for duplicate clicks and send your findings to Adwords Support.

yup its search I spoke to an adwords rep today but they are telling me that only 37 clicks where fraudulent but its not its way more im stuck i have a winning campaign and this guy is trying to ruin it for me if you guys can share some more suggestions I would really appreciate it if this keeps on going on I will have to stop my ads

I think he is changing ips for every click or every other click is there anything I can do

Get your logs from your host. Find the offending IPs. Go to your adwords account and exclude said IPs. That can help if it is from a small number of ip's.

what is the whois on these IP's are they from data centre's or from a VPN service. PM a few.

Unfortunately, this may not have a happy ending, especially if this person is using publicly available free proxies and not in a single range/geo. It's actually way too easy. You can try taking this to Bing instead.

Depending on what you're running, there's different things you can do. Let us know how it goes.

Is your competitor also running ads for the same keywords? Maybe they've done this before to other people who've run similar campaigns. It's not too hard to make a system to ruin somebody's DOI/SOI campaign quality (run them completely off an offer) or kill their Adwords budget, or do anything else to make their life a pain. That's where morals (and probably the ethics of being an affiliate marketer) come in.

If this is not a direct competitor for the adspace/audience, then only God knows why they're pulling this shit on you.

Hey thanks for the post redrummr you just scared me there what do you think if I pull the same thing on all the competetiors as I am having trouble finding out and just doing the same thing he is doing to me this will make him stop for sure you think ? there is no way im going to give up that easy

do you think I can report the the links to the fbi or any other agency

You aren't going to get anywhere with the FBI.

I see you have 3 options:

1. Work with Google and ip blocking to counter it. Maybe they are using a certain browser, can you block that browser? Keep on thinking a long those lines.

2. Go on the counter, and fuck his campaigns up.

3. Concede defeat and move to bing, or focus on another campaign.

thanks mr green I think my best option here is a counter attack google is not helping. blocking the ips wont work this guy can just keep running new ips do you guys know of any good software I can use to start the counter attack I want to shut his server down and software that clicks his ads while changing ips any suggestions 3 days of that im pretty sure he will stop

It's as simple as using a proxy switcher for Firefox, then using an iMacros script. One click every 5 minutes. You're paying $2-5 a click from what I gather, so if you want to cost him $1000 a day, that's 200-500 clicks, or about 10-20 clicks an hour. Simply set iMacros to perform the desired action every 4 minutes. Google knows some proxy servers so will present captchas - there are services for this, or you can use MicroTurks if you're happy to have real people do this - make them click 5 times in a day and send you 5 screenshots before they get their dollar.

The reason for periodic clicks and not rushing is to avoid him day-parting the bad times.

If you ramp it up slowly over 2-3 weeks he might even think the market is becoming unprofitable - that's what he ought to have done in your case if he didn't want you to run to the po-po.

I saw a service being offered on BHW where a guy listed most of the above ideas and also used bulk gmail/yahoo accounts to ruin DOI campaigns. Truly blackhat, but if somebody did that to me I'd punch them in the dick.

If somebody has fucked with you, gloves are off. The guy is a no-life. Note: I sincerely hope you know WHICH competitor messed with you, otherwise you're spreading some bad karma.

Punch one of the fraudulent IPs into Google to get a listing of the proxies this dude is using.

Adwords is fucking brutal lol. The ad auction, high CPC and profitability when employing a "compete against yourself" system means every new ad is a major threat.

This is exactly why I prefer FB. We mind our own business and stack.

Thanks redrummr if I decide to go on with this even though I will be using proxies wont google be able to tell that clicks are coming from my computer or no I think there is a way they can track this don't want any problems with my current account have to much to lose thanks brother looking forward to your reply

Just focus on making more campaigns, away from your current situation, this is going to give you headaches and is not a positive situation.
