All the reading about the Adwords bans and stuff has me confused. Im admittedly an affiliate noob, but I have adwords experience. In fact I still have my account from 2002 when I first tried internet marketing. I havent ran anything in a few years, but I login to use the keyword tool.
Can I create a site around a product niche that looks like a shopping cart, complete with product pages and use Adwords as a traffic source? Search, not display. Im not talking dating, health, diet pills or any of those niches. Im talking CJ type merchants.
Id rather start with a traffic source I know and make money to invest in other traffic sources, but I dont want my account banned.
It certainly could work if your site has decent content. Having an old account may also work in your favour. In your other post you mentioned nextag. The thing with these types of sites is that they obviously spend huge amounts of money with Adwords and that, combined with the age of their account, plus the fact that they are running in safe niches, means they get away with a lot more.
