Do any of the experienced members here have a suggestion for the best traffic source to start on for finance related offers? I already have some knowledge of that demographic through my SEO endeavors and would like to run debt consolidation/tax/insurance/investment style offers. Is there a higher barrier to entry in this vertical? My main goal is to learn this side of the business inside and out, so I will start with the dating/diet offers if I really need to at first. I just thought I would stick with what I've been doing with my websites. Any suggestions on whether or not this is a good/bad idea?

Sticking with a vertical you already know from another venture is definitely a good idea - you'll already have a very good idea of sales tactics, pain points, etc.
I'm afraid I can't advise the best traffic source for finance, though - I know a lot of people do run it, but it's not a vertical I know myself.

I've heard PPV is good for Finance but expensive (never ran anything there for it though)

well why not adwords, lot of finance sites but quite expensive
try to find cheaper GEO and you are good to go
