Ive read nearly every thread on this forum over the week and it seems that from what I read Facebook is getting strict(er) and banning people. I have a $2K FB account from some dabbling into affiliate marketing about three years back (dating and quizzes). The problem is, it is my personal facebook account. I dont want to get that banned.
I have set aside $5,000 to start my affiliate marketing venture, Im just trying to narrow down my traffic source. I am going to get setup with Beyond Hosting and have them install Prosper today. I got approved for Peerfly and A4D on Friday. I have 3 niches that I would like too target, and I love angles and creativity, so hopefully I can do some good things there. I just need to settle on a traffic source.
Facebook - Pro - I like the targeting options to get creative with copy. Con - Dont want to get my account banned
PPV - Pro - I like the ability to target by URL. Im pretty sure I could come up with some killer angles and spins on some of the email submits, targeting URLs. (Ive never run a aip/email submit before). Con - I have no idea what I am doing.
Adwords - I am really good with Adwords, but from what I understand, Google doesnt like affiliates.
Any traffic source suggestions for an affiliate marketing noob?
Facebook is still a viable traffic source for starting out if you stick up to the allowed niches ( games etc ).
If you want to try something else than FB you could run mobile and start on InCrowd.
Thanks. I just signed up for in crowd.
I will look at peer fly for an offer to test.
FYI - when you get banned from advertising on FB, you don't lose your account/friends. You just can't use the ads platform any longer...
