Traffic Junky not fair?

Hello,

Some of my ads in TJ have been rejected either because there was a fast animation or because I had an animation where not allowed. Now I know where I am allowed each kind of ads.

But what I see now, is that many affiliates are running animation in placements where it is not allowed. I have contacted TJ and they said they would review it. But I am seeing it again and again in many TJ sites. This is not fair, having static ads next to animated ads, you cannot compete against that...

What are your thoughts? What can be done?

Well.

I had some of my animation rejected by Traffic Junky too... but there's nothing
much I can do though.

My static banners actually convert pretty well. So I'm not complaining.

But I bet they would convert even better with no animation next to them...

Someone people may just be able to slide past TJ reviewers with their animated ads. Or TJ make be actively approving specific advertisers/their own animated ads...I wouldn't be surprised.

Well, it might not be fair but that's how it is.

It's their sites and they make the rules.

I would try to make it work with what you've got instead of getting upset about it.

you better get used to it, there's no such thing as 'fair' in adult advertising. spend less time complaining about other advertisers and use that time to come up with some new angles.

animated competing banners dont instantly make yours invisible, it's unfair but there's nothing you can do about it so just work around it.. bright colors, shocking images, anything out of the ordinary could be used to outperform.

Sometimes they are not TJ ads. Going direct brings you benefits.

I did not know you could go direct with the sites from TJ's inventory...

If you have money, I imagine you could go direct with any site lol..

I have not seen any placement disabled in TJ yet because someone made a direct buy.

TJ has a lot of inventory that is also available on other ad servers, exoclick, star advertising, reporo, all with different guidelines

Why would tj need to pause or remove a placement because of a direct buy? Direct buy doesn't always mean it's buying all the traffic.

PornHub & YouPorn have so much traffic that when you do a direct buy you get only a small fraction of the total volume.

How can you do a direct buy with these guys? You contact them directly via their contact page? What are the prices? And then do you need an ad server?

Thanks

It's pretty hard to do direct buys with them. You need to be a big spender and have some kind of references.

And yes, you also need an adserver since they sell non geotargeted traffic.
