Traffic Junky has no traffic. Strange things... ?

Hey guys

I've tried canada on tube8 and I was bidding high (not the footer spot) but still I nearly get no impressions. Whats wrong? Is there no traffic or is it because I'm somehow blocked?
I know it new year and so on but it takes ages to get the ads approved. On plugrush / POF I usually have to wait 8 hours.

I didnt select keywords, but according to the bidders & traffic share breakdown even the keyword guys get more traffic & bid less.

Also I noticed that I get logged out like every 5th page load and every page load itself takes 3 - 10 seconds. The next things are that the balance & click numbers never are aligned and "correct".
I'm wondering if even the ads get served properly that way because everything else seems/feels kind of "buggy".

What other networks can you recommend that have some quality traffic? Thanks for your clarification.

Have you checked your analytics to see how many impressions you are getting?

http://analytics.trafficjunky.net/

Then go to overall performance and click from there to get to your ads.

I am getting impressions...

Ah thanks a lot. I'm getting impressions. I just have seen that I got 128,100 impressions in the past 4 days (about 32,000 per day) and I've also seen that some of my ads have a terrible CTR rate, like 0.02.
I guess I need to work on my CTR ;-)

I was a bit confused because in my analytics I've seen another guys profile and could see his performance. The average seems to be 0.1 - 0.5 and I should work to get it somewhere in this range.

There are still some pageload problems.

Be careful to check each ad impressions and CTR individually, not the overall impressions before taking decisions

I suggest that you read this carefully and you take notes

Thanks

The impressions wouldn't update for me too but can see it all in analytics.

one question, how do you guys check the CTR of individual ads?

can't seen to find it anywhere.

Hi oseille, as kamaleon mentioned, you can go here: http://analytics.trafficjunky.net/member/performance. From there, you can click the site name and the spot name to see the ads in that specific spot and their stats.

Bidding Strategy

@trafficjunky, kamaleon: Wow right under my nose, thanks I love analytics its much faster than dashboard.

One thing, I have a hard time getting traffic. Yesterday for example, was stuck at 19 impressions no matter what I changed.
Here are the deets

Setup

Change

  1. Bid just below top bidder (traffic%)...30min later: same impressions
  2. Bid just above the top bidder...1hr later: same impressions
  3. Increased budget to $100...30 min: same impressions
  4. Bid 3x the top bidder...1hr later: same impressions
  5. Increased impressions to 8000(setting)...30min: same impressions

you guys bid differently?

A quick heads up if you can't log in to Analytics sites... I just got off the phone with Warren from TJ support and apparently some of the folks can't log into the http://analytics.trafficjunky.net/ because "WE" are on the old interface and eventually will be migrated to the new interface where we get access to the analytics interface.

I was scratching my head as to why I can't login and see my stats and now I know it aint me.

Here are the deets

Setup

  • daily budget: $25
  • impression:5000
  • freq cap: 1 per day
  • Geo: european country

  2. Bid just above the top bidder...1hr later: same impressions

Hi Oseille, your lack of traffic may be due to the country that you are targeting. Since I can't see which one that is, I can only assume that there is not a lot of available traffic there. Furthermore, you have a low frequency cap. If there is not a lot of traffic to begin with, you will not get a lot of traffic if you are setting your cap so low. Try raising it to 3 times per 24 hours.

I also wanted to mention that bidding 3x higher than the top bidder is most definitely not something we would suggest doing. Bidding TOO high will result in little (and sometimes no) traffic. Our algorithm recognizes when people bid outrageous amounts and most of the time will stop sending traffic so that you don't blow through your entire budget. This is because the majority of the time, the outrageously high bid was a mistake. I've seen people try to bid $2 on a spot when the highest bidder is only bidding $0.17.

We also suggest removing the impressions cap to see if that helps. If you want us to take a look at your campaign to see if we can provide more specific advice, please pm me with your TJ username. We'd be happy to take a look!

Cheers,
Jen
