This is random, but does anyone know how to take a block of text in a screenshot and turn it into editable text?

try a ocr reader. *maybe* this one works http://www.onlineocr.net/

It's not editable but you can maybe extract the text and then do some photoshop work. good luck ;-)

Yeah, OCR apps have really improved recently.

I've been doing some research into OCR recently after I got *really* sick of my bank not being able to provide electronic statements.

The best OCR software by far that I've found is ABBY's FineReader: spectacularly good recognition quality. I've not had to correct it once yet. Definitely worth a look if you're going to need to use it regularly.

Is there a OCR site that translates Mandarin Chinese and other Asian languages?

Yup, FineReader does that, apparently: http://finereader.abbyy.com/recognition_languages/ . Traditional and simplified Chinese characters.
