Hey guys, I'm leaning towards either mobile or Facebook as a new traffic source to try, I don't like POF. Which one in your opinion has the greatest potential and would be more beneficial to master in the long run?
I know Facebook has been cracking down on affiliates but is that just in the dating niche or are they cracking down for all offers? such as app installs. If they don't want any affiliates then I can clearly see the better choice out of these two.
thanks,
Dave
Try mobile. Like app installs and sweeps. Requires lots of creativity but it's fun and you can get a lot of data cheap. I was messing around on airpush yesterday and got 4,000 clicks for $30. You can buy a good deal of data with your budget and learn a lot. I wouldn't think you'd double that or even make a profit. But you might be able to break even, or be at -20 ROI, then keep regurgitating the money buying more data and testing and learning more and building from there. If you have another source of income definitely stick to that while you test.
Thanks for your input Francis, I have always been creative so that could work in my favor for mobile traffic. I do make other sources of income through my online business, doing graphic design and content creation services mainly, so I should definitely have a big enough budget to test until I get in the green. Think I'm going to scrap the Facebook idea for now and focus on mobile traffic.
Definitely look for low-payout offers and cheaper traffic sources - I'd recommend looking outside the English-speaking world if you can, and at smaller countries where there's less competition.
Be careful - you can end up having to spend a lot of money on mobile to get valuable data. Definitely stick with small-payout offers to start with.
