Hey Stackers,
I'm pretty new to the POF game. I launched my first campaign (niche-dating offer) a few weeks ago and I'm just starting my second campaign (another niche-dating offer) today. I'm going to start a folow-along for my second campaign, but before I do I want to ask a few questions:
1. Weekends have been rough. My ads have been doing well M-F, but Sat & Sun they get no love. The volume is there, they are just not getting clicks like they did earlier in the week. Is this common with POF? How is the competition beating me?
2. Do all impressions carry the same weight? For example, is an impression with a .11 bid at 4am local time equal to a .77 bid at 8pm local time? It seems currently my weekend impressions are not as valuable to me as my weekday impressions.
3. Filtering by Browser. For dating offers, do you recommend starting by filtering out mobile or should it be kept open and tested down the line?
Any guidance is much appreciated!
1. It very much varies by demographic, but often you'll find some days do worse than others. For me, traditionally, Saturday's been my best day on POF, and Friday my worst! However, I wouldn't worry too much about it - just keep optimising until the profits from the rest of the days outweigh your Sat - Sun losses.
2. I'm not 100% clear what you're asking here - can you expand a bit?
3. There are two schools of thought on that - "yes" and "no"!
Sometimes mobile users convert surprisingly well on Web offers: my normal approach is to leave it open initially, but keep a careful eye on my stats to see if mobile isn't converting well.
