My affiliate manager told me I was getting a lot of traffic from the same IP. I looked at the file she gave me and there were many instances of several clicks being from the same IP. Also many of the IPs have the first 2 or 3 sets the same and then the last sets as different. Does it affect conversions if an IP is similar, but not the same?
For example:
74.82.64.33
74.82.64.35
74.82.64.64
74.82.64.65
74.82.64.66
Does anyone know why this happens? I emailed admoda, but I am still waiting for a response.
i am surprised your affiliate network doesn't know this, but this is common in mobile traffic. A lot of carriers will assign a block of ips to a bunch of different customers, some sharing the same exact ip. its actually an important piece of data for you as a advertiser to collect this info. some mobile networks actually let you target by ip, and it makes easier for you to port your campaigns over when you have converting ip data. i'm sure if you have the right tracking setup, you can see that the same IP has sent several different devices.
the AM probly is not very familiar with mobile
Ah awesome. Yea I'm running an offer with A4D so I'm guessing they don't deal with too much mobile.
This is super normal in mobile , I wouldn't worry about it.
