Over the last week I started getting a lot of Disapprovals of the whole range of Ad types on FB (Page likes, Landers on FB Page, External Web sites landers).
Not getting very much feedback from Facebook on how I've suddenly got placed within the category.
Your ad content violates Facebook Ad Guidelines. Ads are not allowed to promote the sale or use of adult products or services, including toys, videos, publications, live shows or sexual enhancement products. Ads for family planning and contraception are allowed if they follow our targeting requirements.
Some of my ideas are:
1. They may be blacklisting more websites that get anywhere near the subject of sex (note - site in question has good mywot rating)
2. Blacklisting of facebook pages where they have seen status keywords or images they feel are too much.
3. Mindless disapproval copy: After a Disapproval, you have to wait a week, otherwise the history of 'disapproval' is recent, the Facebook intern sees the last disapproval category - and just mindlessly copies it. If you wait a week, potentially that history gets pushed back a bit, or if you run some charity or other campaigns to push it back a bit.
