1k/ leads Per Day On Mobile App Install Offers

Hey what's up guy's been lurking around for around 2 yrs on the is forum , and have been an aff for around 5yrs & i live in orange county california if there's any aff's out here hit me up so we can chat business. So Have just lost a $x,xxx,xxx/per yr campaign due to competition, lost around 100k trying to compete so finally saying enough is enough (might come back to it when i have more profitable campaigns) I may post a campaign guide of how i built that campaign in the near future so we'll see. Right now i want to cash in on some mobile offers, I've been testing like a mad man these past few weeks, and thought I might as well do a follow along.

Goal : 1k leads per day starting then eventually scale up to 10-15k/leads per day

So right now I'm at a loss, but just purchasing data , payout on apps is typically .20-$1+ cents depending on the offer. This particular on I'm getting .60 cents on.I've already started testing so I'll post some results right now. I'm DLing this campaign for now , but will test several landers.

So right here in pic #1, Im showing all profitable (so far) groups of model and brand , and out of 6 ad copies, 1 got 85 % of the leads

Tracking Data 1

And in in pic #2 from Most clicks , to least

Tracking Data 2

There's alot more clicks but couldnt fit it in the pic

so it looks like i got some weeding out to do , but it's atleast good news conversion are coming through. Any tips are welcome, and feel free to PM if you have any questions for me , or just want to chat.

Will Update tomorrow with more results

I'm not sure how many different ad copies you used, but I would definitely test a bunch before you start cutting down your targeting.

A lot of affiliate seems to make the mistake of start cutting their targeting from day one. By the end of all their optimizations they are left with a dribble of traffic.

Interested to see how this turns out, keep us posted!

Yea i used about 6-7 ad copies and added around 5 more, i tested titles starting with "99% of ect., 98% of ect 97% of ect"
And "99% of ect" did by far the best , who knew a few numbers off would make such a difference, im also only comverting from 1 ad copy mainly that recieved majority of leads, around 85%. For right now im only cutting out targets that got pretty no leads with a decent amount of clicks, I'll post an update later tho

Ok I would recommend creating diverse ad copies from the winner you have now. It seems like you only tested one angle if you only split test 99, 98, 97% etc.

Cool I'll test more variations, I tested around 5-6 different angles and the 5 i added in were diversions of the main ad copy converting best for me. How many ad copies would you recommend testing when starting a new campaign?

12-09-2013 05:59 PM #10 Mr Green (Administrator)

On the last mobile app campaign I started I think I tested about 30 or so ads before I cut any targeting. I wanted to give myself the best shot at being profitable using broad targeting.

Update #2

Okay so I added a new Traffic source in the mix , and results were surprising

http://screencast.com/t/dp5fAikgsLqR

So 1 target generate most of the leads, it's really about 800 leads so far 200 short of my original goal, since my tracking was all jacked up this morning when it launched.

but the main target is generating an roi around 200% as my cpm rate is $5, so .005 per click epc is about .06-.07

I tested using a LP vs DLing, and it's alot better with an LP. I'm getting about 10% ctr, which compared to web LP's ive used is shit. direct linking epc is about .02-.03

Next step:
-Throw some more money at it see what else is converting
-split test more LP ideas , including device call out script
-test other countries available for lower cpm rates and possible higher conversion rates
-try and get a payout bump
-contact leadbolt/Airpush and see if i can get a discounted rate for a larger buy
-test zero park redirect traffic
-improve LP ctr to 15%
Questions I have
-Anyone get cheaper rates doing a managed buy with leadbolt/Airpush?
-how effective is device call out script for you?
-any ideas of how to improve LP ct for mobile pages?

What tracking software do you use? I'm trying to learn mobile, but still don't know much about tracking and how to track all the devices and carriers. Awesome you are hitting close to your goal already. Man you sure know how to hustle.

12-10-2013 09:44 AM #13 Mr Green (Administrator)

Good luck getting a discount with airpush or leadbolt. Best they can do is lower your min bid, but doesn't mean you will get any traffic at that rate. I wouldn't hold my breath with that step.

Have you mucked around with Airpush optimizer yet? Maybe start dropping your cpc on publishers that aren't performing as good as others..

$0.0019 per click.

How can you do that ?

I see all mobile ad network start CPC at 0.05.

The new traffic source i have introduced doesn't go by cpc, they go by CPM and i pay $5-6/cpm depending on competition, which averages out to around .005 cpv/cpc

That sux! well atleast it's not my main source of traffic, I'll be testing admob and inmobi today , I don't really like inmobi's interface tho but we'll see

I think it works fine , I found your post from the new posts link.

Not sure if someone addressed this but make sure to track Site Ids or placements if you can.

With mobile there are some placements that suck up a lot of your traffic but quality is garbage and conversions are even worse. Example is "Talking Tom" app which is a cat you tap and it makes noises and talks to you. It is made for babies, so imagine if you're ads are running there.

CTR is really screwed up right now due to yesterdays tracking, and today im noticing alot of click discrepancy, but my guess is around 50% judging by what prosper is recording compared to what the cpa network is , it's redirect traffic so its a little different too

UPDATE 3

So was having some tracking issues today and didn't run much traffic, I improved my LP ctr by 2% and epc rised .02 with an Alert box, next step is to apply the device callout script and see how well that performs. One of my partners is helping me set up imobitraxx, so hopefully this helps sort out some issues i was having with tracking. I hear it's one of the best mobile trackers. Im break even , or barely profiting i guess you could say, not much of an update but i'll keep you guy's posted

great traffic source, but how can you get 0.005 cpc with $5-6/cpm,it's impossible for me

How many different angles would you test in those 30 banners?
