Hey guys
Just been going through the forum like mad lately. I've been following a getting started post from Caurmen that was posted a couple years back. There was a part in there mentioning that PPV was very competitive as of lately, and that Facebook was going ban crazy etc, and not to start with these traffic sources. What is the current competition like with PPV/Facebook??
Cheers
Hey , I think PPV is still a good place to start.
With a relatively low budget you can learn the ropes and make some profit.
FB is a bit tougher these days so unless you plan to run 100% whitehat stuff I would leave it for later.
PPV will always be a great place to start def specifically Leadimpact.. Not soo much competition there and possibilities are endless.
Every traffic source has it's quirks and competition so it's just a matter of trying to figure out how to monetize the traffic source for your offers.
PPV is still a great place to learn and test offers though.. give it a shot!
No worries about the competititon, just try
data tells
Thanks a lot for your responses.. I guess Ill reconsider it as an option.. Any thoughts on what a good test budget would be? I know LI requires a $200 startup deposit.
You're a little bit late, mate. Right now they ask for initial $1000
Did you already choose your niche/offers to start with LI?
Definitely different from earlier days, but still viable source I know a few personal mates doing well on it still!
It is of course quite technical, but the optimising process is a fantastic way to learn affiliate marketing. The evergreen niches finance, dating, weight loss, gaming still do incredibly well and leadimpact/trafficvance are still top 2 sources as far as I know. Just current competition is quite hardcore and I would imagine the bidding wars on those verticals would be tight hahaha
But yeah definitely still a viable source of income for any aff marketer
If you're technical, and particularly if you can handle the math needed for multivariate testing (I've got a tab on fractional factorial testing open right now
) many PPV sources are still great. They give you a flood of data, which is awesome: you can optimise very fast.
However, your servers do need to be extremely quick and highly polished
