Dear Online Brothers and Sisters!
About me
I am Vincent
STM
I just signed up with STM like a week ago and I am in love, head over heels. This has been a wonderfull week in many aspects.
I'll try to keep this post as short as possible but I want to be as open and share as much important detail as I can at the same time.
You guys have given me so much already... It's time to start giving back.
Online Background
I have been working from home as a full time internet marketer for over 5 years now. Started as a logo designer, WP website builder and textwriter. Did some videostreaming sites with content lock.
BlckHat Facebook games stuff. Past 2-3 Years I been doing PayPerCall campaigns via Adwords Paid Mobile Search advertising.
Preparations
I decided to start doing Facebook, It's just so much people out there and it enables you to laser target your audience in a way Adwords can't. Ayway I was curious as hell.
Read some forums, found STM, got in, got SAN, got a cloaker, did a simple website, got Prosper202, got a cc, did a fanpage, got approved at some networks > ready to go!
Goal
I am running a profitable campaign within a month from now. Let's say before New Years Eve.
Steps 1-4
1. Get my CTR above 0,1%,
2. Find a Good offer,
3. Get a Good ROI,
4. Increase budget > get Paid
Campaign
A few Dating offers, SOI, green WOT score, Payout between $1,20-$5,60, cloaking and non-cloaking, male, broad targeting 30+, several countries,
Testing
I have been testing for about a week now.
First I wanted to get my CTR above 0,1%. Started bad but had nearly half my images above 0,1% after three days. Top CTR 0,224% but low EPC.
Started testing offers and LP's. Got Conversions but at this point I am still spending double what I earn. $60 spend, $35 earned for instance.
Offer Payout is low, so I am going to test a few others today.
Step 1
Personal Conclusions (lot's will be pretty obvious or mentioned a 1000X already but anyway here we go)
People say it's 80% image, 15% title, 5% adcopy. I think it's a combination of the three. It's teamwork. So that means there's three important things to look at.
Image
People on facebook are basically having fun: my picture needs to grab their attention either in a positive way or a negative:
so I use a steaming hot girl I want to do myself or I grose people out (an ugly girl playfully biting her boyfriend in his face).
I start testing with three almost identical images per campaign (different saturation, zoom or outline)
gamechangers: Red or purple outline (3-5px), saturation +20-40%, smart sharpening, brightness, selfies, girls with glasses, ugly girls, 'real' girls in a natural setting (girl next door).
Girls wearing football shirts, or doing stuff guys like (gaming or whateva). Image size 125x90
SAN is great to see what the competition is doing but I stopped copying after two days. I use my own images. Yes it will be copied quickly but at least it's something new
and you avoid add blindness.
Title
Again I want to grab peoples attention. I don't like stuff saying: Find the love of your life. I ask a question or say something bold. Want to be alone Forever? or Dating SUCKS!
Adcopy
If I asked a question in the headline, I will answer it here. Want to be alone forever? Try our blah blah blah
If I said something, I will ask a question here or explain my title. Dating SUCKS! Until you tried bla blah
I'll include easy and/or free.
I'll end with a call to action: click here now, sign up now! ed.
Step 2
Busy.... trying to get the right offer....
Tips are very welcome.
What is a good offer to you guys?
How do you pre-select them?
What offers do you avoid?
They say SOI is the most profitable/easy converting one, do you (dis)agree?
Do you use a minimum payout when picking offers?
Good networks?
Love to hear your experiences!!
PS: BEST THING HAPPENED SO FAR: Skype Mastermind. Get a few cats together in a group on skype and share information, ask questions and be open!
(A lot of the experienced and info in this post is because of the guys from the mastermind I'm in. So guys: THANKS A MILLION)
All the Best!
Vincent
Seems like you have a good start.
Offer selection: to be honest, I don't pre-select too much. I generally ask my AMs what's good, but sometimes (OK, quite often) I'll just grab something that I see in the offer list that I'm reasonably sure I can tap into a niche for, or that has a good landing page. You tend to find quite a few duds that way, but I've also found some great campaigns. Just test and see what works!
