Need to explain what you do? Diagrams work best.

Another post on my blog today. Inspired by another thread I can't find or I'd respond to it :P

As affiliates we get asked all the time what we do and how does it work. I find it's easiest to show this with a diagram so here you go.

----- start post -----

Tired of Explaining what you do?

I have people ask me what I do for a living a lot. Can you explain what you do?

Do you get this question a lot?

When I find myself explaining things, whatever they are, over and over again I feel the need to draw diagrams and write them down. Just saves me a lot of time. Then when someone asks me a question I can just point them to my blog or send them a doc and tell them to review it. They're brought right up to speed usually and allows me to keep my sanity.

This doc might interest you if:

You're interested how affiliate marketing works.

Need to explain to some one what you do in a little more detail then I'm in online advertising.

Don't know where you fit in the over all ecosystem?

Other ideas?

Well here you go... I hope this helps. Let me know what other diagrams you might be interested in, in the comments.

Download the diagram here.

They run their own campaigns at A4D as well

Yes we buy media at A4D. Things people aren't running and haven't tested. We work on figuring them out so we can give our top guys to run. Kind of a campaign incubator.

Also, have merchants that won't take affiliate traffic. So we run them internally.
