When people think about affiliate marketing, they think about guys like us that are into paid traffic.
The biggest affiliates in the world are sites like Retailmenot, Tripadvisor, Kayak.com, etc.
Remember that the core of affiliate marketing is just recommending products.
This one's a good idea very well executed - I've seen it on Reddit a lot, and given the number of things I nearly bought from it, I suspect it's making rather a lot of money.

That site is beautiful and a great idea! Only problem it pretty much replies on going viral to make it work.
