Does fb hate affiliates? Confused.

So my question is if i post a clean gaming add, directing to an LP will fb raise flags on my account since im an affiliate? and ban my account? basically what are some guidelines of not raising flags with ads on fb? I have a 1k Agency account and dont wanna screw things up. Also promoting a CB product will that get me banned? Thank you.

depends on the CB product, a lot of them will get you banned, some might not. Facebook periodically goes through and bans affiliate accounts in sweeps anyways, even if they're following all terms and being 100% compliant. Gaming is definitely going to be a safer bet than dating or CB though.

Yes, they do hate affiliates. They'd rather work direct w/ the merchants or the AORs of the merchants, and have one less margin-sucker in the food chain. Google feels the same way.

That being said, affiliates are still allowed on their platform, and gaming is a pretty safe vertical. Don't upload bunches of uncomplaint ads and your account will be fine. Dating would be a different story.

thax a lot for the info guys much apriciated. So even if your running clean dating ads/offer there is still a big chance of getting banned hu?

There's a chance. How big it is ... very hard to say.

I've run affiliate campaigns on my FB in the past and avoided a ban, and some people run FB for years. What vertical you're in makes a HUGE difference.

Was it a shady offer? FB will reject and can ban when you try to submit an offer with a poor myWOT rating.

new accounts will often get banned right away.. i would consider that normal

I doubt they will ban you if you submit a clean gaming ad.

Games seems to still be OK , dating / CB varies on offer & rating.

Simple answer is yes they do, for the most part. Unless your an affiliate for a very small white hat company selling something that makes users very happy like quinoa juice, or vegan meatsauce.

They hate affiliates.

We have an agency account with them and they openly say they hate affiliates. They make very sure we're not running any affiliate offers on our agency account.

Just makes people jump through hoops but stops nothing. Still a TON of affiliate stuff on FB.

Thought I'd bump this. What about CB offers via landers?

Facebook only hates you if you're not running compliant ads. Facebook loves me when I run compliant ads. They give me spending bumps without me asking for them. Stop running the stereotypical shady affiliate stuff (dating, diet, etc), and you'll be rewarded.

What affiliate offers fall under "compliant" games/legal niches? I've had accounts banned before for running games.

Lead gens are beautiful on FB. Who needs a Dentist? A whole lotta people need Dentists..

Also with tax season coming up, affiliates should be salivating.

Every time I hear about another Facebook crackdown I just smile, I always welcome a higher barrier to entry. I have no issues with the lazy affiliates being kept out as they are usually the ones doing dumb shit anyway.
