jamesruhle follow along *newbie ppv contest*

started this campaign a few days and it still hasnt gone live... getting it off the ground seems to be a huge pain in the ass so far with approvals... as of right now... I am still not approved but I figured I would start this little follow along now since there's nothing else for me to do. and I am pretty sure my lander sucks, so some feedback on it would be awesome.

My strategy:
-I will be targeting news networks that tend to swing one way politically whether it be to the left or to the right. With the poll lander that I got from stackmans landing page thread.

-I feel that the best way to get high CTR on landers is to find something that people are really passionate about... something like Fox News and their audience...
I will be targeting more liberal websites as well as conservative websites because I think they both will have something to say about this

-starting off with just a few of the biggest news websites... only one of them has another bidder.

-I will start off with 2-3 extremely different versions of my landing page to see what style gets the highest ctr, and than I will set up Google website optimizer with 10-20 variations, setting the conversions as link clicks

tools that I will be using:
-Hacking together landing pages that I take from other sites cause I can't code for the life of me, same goes with photoshop... I will be using gimp instead just cause I am more familiar with it.

-prosper202... interested to find out how this will work with ppv

network: I will be using: primarily ads4dough and probably WSM as well, just trying to get the offer up before I start split testing offers

and without further ado my lander:

there are no bells and whistles just what you see...

Disclaimer: this is not meant to start any type of political debate!

and finally I have one question... I want to make sure I submitted the link correctly to leadimpact for the keywords to pass through:

http://domain.com/?t202id=1111&t202kw=

do I just submit it just like that, or do I need to add something at the end? Also, If set up a split test php redirect will the keyword pass through the redirect? If not how would I do that

that's the right way to do the link. Make sure you check the KW passthrough box in LI and have the javascript and php codes from 202 properly installed.

For landers, I just found this free tool today: kompozer.net/. It has a WYSIWYG editor as well as the actual HTML option. It has a FTP connection so you can make the changes directly on your server. I haven't made any new landers with it, but I used it this afternoon to update a few pages and it made the process a lot easier. It will save you some time if hardcoding isn't your thing. I haven't used dreamweaver, but from what I understand of it, this is a poor man's version.

KompoZer is a nice alternative to Dreamweaver for people on a budget. I actually worked with Kompozer for a while after getting Dreamweaver just because I knew how to use it by then and didn't want to learn Dreamweaver
