Twitter Self-serve Ads Now in Three More Countries

Twitter Inc said on Thursday it would introduce self-serve ads for small- and medium-sized businesses in three countries outside the United States, marking one of its first moves to expand revenue as a publicly listed company.

Businesses in the United Kingdom, Ireland and Canada will be able to buy "promoted" ads that can be shown to targeted Twitter users beginning this week, the company said.
Let us know how the platform is guys.

I recall that in a discussion about Twitter advertising recently on STM, the general consensus was that it's too darn expensive for affiliate use.

I wonder if that'll still be the case in new territories? I suspect so, sadly, but worth having a look!

It doesn't strike me as the friendliest traffic source for direct responsers, but I haven't tried it...

Can imagine the same being said of Instagram's new platform.

I'd be shocked if there's anything like the same first movers advantage as there was with Facebook or POF.

@Finch i pretty much agree. It won't be the same as Facebook beta

With that said there will still be a lot of unique opportunities once it's more public for advertisers (especially in the 1st year).

Has anyone given it a test yet?
