SEO Guide(s) - any interest?

Hey guys,

after talking a bit to Caurmen, I'm setting up a poll to see if there's interest in some SEO guide I'd produce for you stackers. SEO is a huge topic and it's impossible covering all aspects of it, so we decided to give you 3 options to vote for (and basically to see if there's interest at all) plus a 4th option in which you can post in this thread about other topics you'd like a guide about.

If there's enough votes, I'll do one guide and see how you guys like it - any suggestions, feel free to post them in here.

I would like to read your legit links topic but I think the choices you put in the poll would make for an awesome 3-part series!!

11-14-2013 08:44 PM #10 fjk87 (Veteran Member)

Alright guys it seems like there is some basic interest in the topic, with links vs looking legit being head to head. Since (given I'll do those guides) I want them to be helpful and cover most parts I'd rate important, I will do the following:

If we manage to reach 20 votes total, I'll cover one topic, obviously the winner in the poll. If we manage to get 45+ votes in total, I'll do a 3-part series covering all of those aspects. Especially the first two options kind of overlay each other, so I have to figure out how to split or to combine them in one bigger post.

Thanks for the interest shown so far, I hope you guys understand that I want a handful of guys being interested before committing to doing those. I got the very basics ready already which I give to VAs / employes when they do work for me, but re-writing them for a solid, ready to fire guide comes along with quite a bunch of work involved.

Again, feel free to post suggestions / questions / comments in here, I might pick them up and include them if they somehow match the topic, so take the chance to get some stuff covered and possibly find some answers to SEO related issues.

Yeah I'd love to read decent information about seo, I haven't read anything about seo since google railed me with penguin and I moved to paid traffic!

come on guys, we need more votes!

Also:
How To beat Google the Blackhat-fjk87-way
would be an interesting topic. But probably you shouldn't even share it, if you wanted to.

Yeah you're about right, a part of it would be covered in the legit links, but definitely I wouldn't share everything in a post, sorry for that.

Seems like we're at 23 voters now, I'll give it a couple of more days to see if I do a full guide or just the winner.

"Step by Step to create a legit, branded website"....you know why :P

WE still need 15 more Votes to get the complete guide.
So even if you are not interested: Vote

I also hope this gets the most votes:

Alright guys there's definitely some interest so I'll do a 2 part guide combining the 'How to make your website look legit to Google' and 'Step by Step to create a legit, branded website' since it goes hand in hand and in a second part cover a bit of links and stuff

Should probably start somewhen next week I'll do my best to find the middle between a reasonably timed pre-christmas gift and quality included! If any of you stackers has suggestions what to include, keep them coming I'll happily include them if possible.
