Turning .jpg and .gif into flash files
I'm creating a lot of my own banners and trying to convert them into flash files. How do I exactly go about doing this? Can I do this within Photoshop?

If you are not familiar with Adobe Flash ( the program not the plugin
) , I would try one of these :

Thanks guys! I did convert them to .swf files, however, it seems my traffic source (TJ) only accepts .jpg, .png, or .gif files. Is there a way around this or would I have to comply with their rules?

Does anyone know of any traffic sources that accept creatives in flash format?

SiteScout, I think.
In general, most of the RTB platforms probably have rich media options.

80% of sources take them including adwords.

Why do you need sources that accept the flash format? Isn't an animated GIF good enough in your case?

Well in an earlier post, Smaxor pointed out that it's harder to rip off banners if they are in flash format. So, I was considering it for security measures.

Unless the amazingness of your banner is in something the animation does, if it doesn't move, or even just moves a little, someone can just take a screenshot and crop it, or on the Mac just Shift+Command+4 and take your banner. If someone wants it they'll take it.

True, I'm aware that static banners are easily replicable and thus not worth the trouble. However, I was more concerned about my animation banners that require more time and might be worth safe-guarding, at least for a period of time anyways.

Honestly man I think you are put more importance on it than needed.
Go with GIF when testing , if you find an amazing banner convert it to SWF.
But still , if it's such a great banner people will rip it anyway . It takes 5 mins to decompile and rip a flash banner.
