Been trying to start my new PPV campaign for the newbie section for about 3-4 days now, but keep running into problems with ridiculously long approval times and other stupid mistakes. Anyways this is the latest... I got both of my landing pages disapproved... this is what they said:
Landing Page 1- Landing page must have disclaimer information regarding participation requirements for the offer and be above the fold.
- Landing page must have disclaimer information regarding affiliation with listed merchants or brands and be above the fold.
Landing Page 2-
- Landing page must have disclaimer information regarding participation requirements for the offer and be above the fold.
- Landing page must have disclaimer information regarding affiliation with listed merchants or brands and be above the fold.
is this something new? None of the landers I have seen so far have had to do that...
Yeah they have started asking for them lately.
Just put a disclaimer and when they approve either make it light gray or move it down the page..
here's the exact disclaimer they've approved for me on those landers: participation required. not affiliated with Apple. Like bbrock said, I put it in a color that almost blends into the background after everything on the page
I hate crap like this. I know they are just trying to keep from getting sued, but it's just another person that has a say on your content.
Light grey-ish text link has been approved several times. It's barely visible. I checked stats and not one person ever clicked on them.
Ya this happened to me as well, I'm having to do the same now.
I'm making the disclaimer real small combined with light gray and its ok
I had the same problem and here's my disclaimer that got accepted.
*Participation requiered.
*This site is not affiliated with the products/brands shown.
Made it small 10px ,above the fold.I don't think someone will see it. It's imposible in that small pop up window.
Step 1: Put giant disclaimer above the fold on lander.
Step 2: Get lander approved.
Step 3: Replace lander with one that has no disclaimer.
Step 4: ???
Step 5: Profit.
Insert joke about underwear gnomes here.

Yeah I use a fairly generic disclaimer on my landing pages for LI as well. They want disclaimers on just about every landing page now - none of the landing pages I use are shady at all so I'm not sure what the problem is.
