Do You Redirect Under 25 Traffic? (10)

Do You Redirect Under 25 Traffic?

What are your guys opinions on this?

I kind of want to do it, but the only offer that accepts younger traffic for my country is C-Date.

Is having the "Are you older than 25?" question enough? Or would I risk getting the boot?

I think Finch and a few other guys said they send them to CPS versions of the same offers.

this is a good question and there's a lot of intentional misleading / misinformation out there on it, cuz I've followed some high volume guys for a while, and they never filter to separate offers, but everyone always preaches "only send 25", so there's kind of a disconnect imo between the truth. Same thing goes for the NO CC, NO SIGNUP, NO BS. Everyone preaches that is the devil and then I see someone I personally know does huge volume and it's on the majority of their banners. The are you older than 25 doesn't really filter anything, as people are going to click through and signup whether they're 18-24 or 25+ and just put that they are 25+ so they can get access. Think about your target audience, they're not going to let some dropdown filter deter them from getting closer to what they want.

^^Totally agree.

I don't think I've seen one lander recently that actually redirects the younger demographic.

I'm thinking of maybe sending 18-29 to one offer and the 30+ to another? That way maybe the quality will be a little better on the younger demo?

Anybody else got some insight on this?

Thats when it becomes useful, there are quite a few offers in the adult industry that pay very good rates but only for 30+ traffic, so then thats when this drop down becomes handy as you do not want to waste the <30 traffic, just send that to yes a cps offer or something like JHU etc which seems to love all traffic.

I've always done the above, its how I can keep a competitive advantage, the more effort you put into your work, the more chance of profit you will have. We all know margins in adult have taken a huge dive in the past 6 months, 12 months etc from what they were 24 months ago, but hey thats just the game so you gotta keep one step ahead.

Always always always be on the lookout for that one more step, if you're running INTL Erovie 30+ offers can be your best friend, especially direct on quality traffic I won't say anymore, I've given more then 2 cents here

That makes sense.

The problem is I'm running my 21-29 traffic to an offer that my AM says "just wants volume and isn't picky". I'll head back to the negative if I redirect it to something else, but I guess that's just part of the game.

Never heard of this before! Erovie has converted like utter crap for me on aff networks, might have to give this a try. Do they have a signup page for affiliates? I can't seem to find it from googling/searching their site.

Somebody raised this point a while ago, and one theory was that you see these creatives running all the time because they're being run by the merchants. You don't need to worry about lead quality if your only objective is to get as many users to the site as possible.

Unless your placements are excellent (like Porn.com kinda excellent), I don't think slapping "No Credit Card" or "No Signup" on your creatives is very smart at all. It goes against many of the T&Cs on the offers we promote. Meaning even if you increase your ROI, you could lose it all by forfeiting your leads.

Does that happen all the time? No, but it's a pretty big risk. One we all need to be aware of.

I've used these 'free' creatives quite a lot in foreign markets where I couldn't be bothered to translate the text on existing creatives. It's on my to-do list of stupid mistakes to rectify.

As for Under 25 traffic, I usually send it to the offers that are known for scrubbing. Splitting it across multiple networks can reduce your volume to the point where you're seen as too small fish for them to even bother kicking.

Dump your weak leads in small quantities...

Do you ever take into account other factors like pickiness of the advert, country/traffic source quality when it comes to determining these kind of things?

For example, if you're running a porn.com placement, on a country that backs out well, with an adv that isn't picky, do you ever give yourself more leniency to boost ROI? Or is that a dangerous line not worth toeing?

From my experience, Porn.com is one of the top placements out there for quality. I know a lot of advertisers love it. So yes, you can probably afford to take a few more liberties.

But I'd argue there's a bigger upside in continuing to deliver the best possible traffic and using it to get a payout increase. You can defer that increase to other traffic sources and increase your chances of success.

If you get payout bumps, good ones, you have a competitive advantage over the competition. But you still need to use it wisely. You can't wait to get bumped, then start sending a ton of crap traffic.
