weird numbers between actual fanpages + keyword/ demo estimator? (5)

So today,

i was trying to create a campaign that is related to Victoria's Secret, Targetting females in the U.S

but somehow my demo estimator's numbed seemed WAY off.

My keywords (i basically chose anything victoria's secret)



My estimator



14 million fans and only 90k fans are reachable???

am i doing something wrong here?

Victoria's Secret is really popular in the U.S, it can't be THAT low.

or

is there a way for fan pages to turn off certain features that stops advertisers from targeting them?

I don't have a precise answer for you on why its like that, but i can tell you it's not an error with your account. I tested it just to confirm, but i see stuff like this all the time. Even with 160+ other countries on facebook, they don't all add up to 14mil victoria secret fans, so somehow something is blocking us from targeting that specific fan base.

Like you said some brands may block Facebook from allowing advertising to them, so the 88k reach to Victorias secret fans is through other groups/likes. I'm not 100% sure, but i'ts for quite a few different categories/niches I've tried targeting before.

Also i don't know what campaign your running but you could try targeting just 'lingerie' or other brands. I find competitor brands convert very well. ie: advertising brand A to brand B fans

on this note as well explore the broad cat stuff.....you can really find some gems in there and it can give you a really large reach.....
