South East Asia Meetups? (4)
hey guys,
After 8 years being an Affiliate Manager at Azoogle, CX Digital, and the past 4.5 years with Mundo Media where we've grown the network to 100 employees and 15 AM's, I'm finally going out on my own to try out the affiliate thing and work on a couple other projects. Of course, its the 'affiliate lifestyle' that's most attractive so I packed up all my shit and I'm headed to South East Asia and Australia for up to a year.
I'll probably start a blog at some point, all about how i've worked with some of the biggest affiliates in the industry (talking guys that did 100K/day) and seen every technique how to run campaigns, but really starting from scratch as a complete noob affiliate fumbling around trying to figure things out cuz i've never really run much myself, could be an interesting read...or not haha.
Anyways, as I head out around the world I was thinking I could do a few mini meetups in Asia and get Mundo to pay for it. 
My schedule is pretty open from November 18th into January (after that going to try settling down somewhere), so I wanted to see where people were interested in getting together for some free beers. Here's a few options:
1. Jakarta
2. Bangkok
3. Koh Phangan (could plan it around the full moon party December 17th)
4. Singapore
5. Bali
I'll probably get at least an FB Group going if we get some hype going.

Bali - Going to be absolutely full of Aussies and Pommies
Koh Phangan I would suggest hosting the meet up on either Koh Tao or Koh Samui which are much nicer islands, Phangan is pretty run down and its only attraction is the party (which is mindblowingly hectic, the greatest or the worst night of your life guaranteed)
Jakarta - Never heard to much of Jakarta before, doesn't seem to be such a popular destination.
Bangkok - BangBOOMS!
Singapore - You'll get a big big attendance rocking up here, heaps of Singapore/Malaysian affiliates
thanks Maynzie, I was a young punk 10 years ago when I did Koh Phangan for 10 days all leading up to the full moon party, curious to see if its crap now like you said.
Going to be hitting Bangkok today for a few days, HK has been a bit of a bust if you aren't into Prada, Chanel or Gucci...
Alright I'll round back up with the Mundo team and we'll probably be sending out a mass mailer to all their affs. This is definitely not an exclusive Mundo jam, so we welcome everyone. I'll post once we get a set locale. thx for the votes

although I can't be too harsh about FMP. definitely something to experience but there's much better that goes on around Koh Phangan. hell, the only time I would ever go into Haadrin was for the odd FMP and for a late night Mama's Schnitzel
EDIT: also fully agree with you about Bali
