Life Cell- Advice needed on Pro's and Con's of going direct vs. staying an affiliate

Hey guys, i was looking for a skincare offer (trial) to split test and came across Life Cell's offer...it looked good with celebrity endorsements so I applied like 2 weeks ago. Just got an email from them being accepted, so I was pretty stoked to say the least as this would be my first "direct" product to advertise. I guess in my perfect world the payout of $94.50 was a thrill until I read the terms:

Customers have the option to try LifeCell free for 30 days. After their 30 day trial ends, they are billed for the product ($189) and have an additional 90 days to return the product for their money back.

Affiliates earn $94.50 for every new conversion generated. Once a customer is successfully billed after their free trial is over, we approve your commission. We process commission payments on the 21st of every month for all approved payments. Please allow 3 days for processing and delivery.

Customers who cancel their order, or return their product within the money-back guarantee period will result in a commission refund. If a customer returns their product after a commission payment has already been made, your future commission payment will be debited the refund.

So I guess my question is... are these the same types of terms that affiliate networks have to deal with?? I would love to have a higher EPC if this thing backs out.. but with the refund policy I have to wonder exactly what the average true payout would be for every sale once the refund process averages out. I realize it would take time and data to figure this out but was curious to know if anyone dealt with LifeCell or any others for that matter that are similar, and what to expect. My main traffic source is ppc and ppv so the "trial offer" is important to use in the angle... and skin offers can go from $35-$50+ payout per trial submitted (no refund to worry about) as an affiliate so any advice on the pro's and cons if you have gone through this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

No they pay on the trial to most networks. Your trial to subscription ratio is going to be somewhere between 55-85%. Not sure on the refund/charge back side. But yeah That sounds shitty.
