Thanks to Maynzie for the tip off.

I could imagine these rocking rebills. E.g diet, having a picture of a ripped chick, then link to an offer. Would work well with skin, bizopp, the works, ooh also iPhone games depending on ad prices shittttttt.
Get it while it's hot.
I still remember when people said adwords content network you could never make money on. All clicks were just about 1 cent.
Then following that everyone ran around saying Facebook was garbage and you could buy unlimited clicks for 1 cent and there was really no rules other then no tobacco, firearms or hate language.
So get ready to pounce. The brands and agencies move slowly. So there should be a strong window of opportunity for 6 months to 1 year.
Unless Facebook decides to serve it through Facebook Ads, then we're all HOSED :P
It's mostly mobile inventory I believe. Start getting creative with funnels and opt-ins if you want to run skin/bizopp/CPS because I don't think they work on first visits on mobile. Therefore desktop traffic will cost a little more initially because of affiliates, while big brands and their shitty marketing can stay in the brand awareness game in the mobile feed.
Wonder if their costing system is true to demand, or if they pull a punk move like POF with their minimum CPM bids rising all the time, even on otherwise unused inventory...
Could be a goldmine. Could get a lot more people into mobile. With the user base that large, somebody is going to make some money, and fast.
Would also look into demographics though... In my mind I see a base of people under 22 or so (maybe more than half the users) with little economic prowess (lead quality...) and a small fraction above 30. On FB you can get 1c clicks targeting 30+ sitting at their PCs at that moment
I'm going to pounce on it like a honey badger on a tree snake.
Maybe I'm missing something or is just friday and I might of started drinking earlier than usual, but how do you link to the offer?
Just in case anyone missed it, Pinterest have also started testing limited advertising:

Could be huge for dating and (if they allow them) bizopps, amongst other things.
Lots of $$$ ideas for this, but it's difficult to judge how viable they'll be until a proper hands-on.
Show me dat CPC
DON'T GET YOUR HOPES UP
I got really excited when i heard about it, since its the largest potential advertising in terms of mass reach since Facebook, but it's not going to happen like we want. I did a lot of research yesterday.
Since the parent company is Facebook they know exactly what they're doing to launch this. They're only starting off with well known brands, it won't be self serve to start. This could last for a whole year.
If you want to even consider sneaking in as a brand (which i'm not sure is possible), then you'll need to build up a nice pretty instagram page and get a website. Brand yourself.
Once this brand thing is over, it may become self serve and that's when it'll get interesting.
Best article so far on how it's going to work.

In their position, I don't really blame them.
No doubt Facebook will feed their experience into the Instagram setup. I seriously doubt that they will just throw it open as a "wild west" self-serve. I got super excited when Twitter opened up advertising but its clear that they went after $$$ brands from day one.
Lets see what will happen
Yep Twitter did the same thing, kept it safe.
Pinterest may be more of a wild west type of thing.
