300k reach, but no volume and high CPC

Okay,

I have an offer that I know it's converting (from my AM, and also I get a few conversions myself). The problem is that this offer is available only in countries like US, CA, UK and a few more.

When I setup my campaign I've got recommended bid like 0.27-0.51€ for the UK. From what I was reading here I set my bid a way higher, actually I set it at 1€. (in hoping to get some volume). My budget was however set quite low in reflection with my bid: 10€.

Now what happened:
Estimated reach was about 300k, but volume just not come. I've got totally 9 clicks (however my P202 recorded only 6) and average CPC around 0.50€. Half of my budget was gone, literally not traffic has come.

Now I want to know what is the problem? Is it that countries like UK, CA etc. can be really hard to get in without having a very high budget, or is there some other trick I'm missing?

I've tried something similar with a smaller country, I've got a lot of more volume/clicks. (and in paradox estimated reach there was 10x smaller)

Also when I set the same parameters and change country to something like Argentina the recommended bid is under 0.10€, which sounds crazy

So any ideas how to move on? My budget for beginning is about 15-20€/day - I need to get some data for split testing my new LPs and see which works and which sucks. But cannot see this with 9 expensive clicks.

Thanks in advance for any hints guys.

The UK and CA can be very expensive to get clicks in, yes. It's a problem if you have a small budget.

Is the offer a dating offer? Dating's particularly high-competition, and that tends to drive click costs up.

If you can, I'd probably recommend looking for an offer that allows lower-cost, non-English-speaking countries, preferably one with a lower payout. Lower click costs and a lower payout will allow you to get more actionable data for your budget, and once you've got some campaigns going you can start looking at the more expensive countries.

How did you come up with good CTR images? just by testing?

This is a great idea. I can test the bulk of images with a much lower cpc rates in those countries.
