So I am attempting my first ever paid traffic campaign. I picked a very low traffic niche which is probably a dead end but anyway its just a test more than anything.
Anyway, I am not sure whats going on, maybe I have set the campaign up incorrectly.
CPVLab shows: 48 Views and 1 Click.
Leadimpact shows: 14 Impressions
CPA Network shows: 3 clicks with SUBIDs that come from this campaign.
I understand that Leadimpact stats might not be in real time but the Leadimpact stats are still behind on the impressions from last night. Also there are clearly 3 clicks with 3 seperate subids in my CPA networks stats. I'm not sure what to make of it.
I obviously want to get this all set up properly before I attempt a high volume campaign.
Any suggestions?
LI seems to have a lot of crawlers/whatever you call them. Imps always higher on cpvlab than what they have for me.
For the cpa network clicks, is it a direct link campaign? If you are new, what hosting do you have? People might be closing the window if it's a slow redirect.
Thanks for your help.
Ah ok cool, so LI knows they are crawlers but CPVlab doesn't? MAkes sense if thats the case.
I am using LP for this campaign, I have beyond hosting VPS. I dont think thats the issue. However I am targetting Australia so maybe its not so fast to load. Ill check it somewhere.
All this makes it a headache though for calculating what is working and how much it is actually costing though. How do you get around this?
The most important thing is to track revenue out vs spend in.
After that, just use CPVLab's stats as far as CVR and CTR on your landers go. Unless something very wierd's going on, you should end up with approximately equal numbers of crawlers and real users hitting each lander, so the crawlers will just cancel each other out.
Keep in mind that once your impressions get up the discrepancy will most likely go into the opposite direction, meaning that LI reports more clicks than your tracker (due to various reasons like users closing the pop before your landers load etc).
I haven't run anything on LI for a while, but back when I did the discrepancy used to be ~30 %, so LI reported 30 % more clicks than my tracker.
